Description: This town has been dubbed "La Vinya" because of its historical connections with winemaking. It has an extension of 86.24 km2, stands at an altitude of 291 m and has a population of 6,002. The town of Arbúcies stands on a beautiful spot in the very heart of the Montseny Natural Park and the Guilleries area, listed as a protected site of natural interest. This gives the municipality an exceptional diversity in terms of botany and fauna allowing visitors to observe landscapes ranging from typically Mediterranean to the subalpine characteristics of Les Agudes all in a stretch of just a few kilometres. Another key natural element here is water: throughout the land we come across many springs, streams and brooks, including the headwater of the brook of Arbúcies, the main tributary of the river Tordera.
