This route departs from the old Olot-Girona narrow-gauge railway station in Anglès, crossing the town along Carrer del Nord before connecting to the Bellveí path. From here it climbs to the Chapel of Santa Bàrbara, along a path shared with the GR 178 Serrallonga Route. In addition to the main trail up to the chapel, the route offers the possibility of using several shortcuts through pine, oak and chestnut forests.
At an elevation of 854 metres, the Chapel of Santa Bàrbara offers a wonderful panoramic view that takes in the Pyrenees, the Gulf of Roses, the Ter Valley, the Selva Plain and the Guilleries Massif.
From the chapel, the route takes you back to Anglès along a forest track. Before you reach the town, you come to the 11th-century Chapel of Sant Amanç, which has been fully restored.
