The county of Selva boasts a wide range of natural landscapes and a rich cultural heritage that you can discover through hiking and cycling. The county offers more than 900 km of signposted itineraries with routes of varying difficulty that wind their way through extremely diverse geography and landscapes: from the coastal area, with its beaches and coves, to the peaks of the high mountain areas of the Montseny, Guilleries and Collsacabra massifs.
• Hiking enthusiasts have three main options for exploring the county: the “Local Trails” (suitable for everyone: ranging from a gentle stroll to an excursion or short hike), the “Great Water Trails” (long-distance routes that interconnect the municipalities of the county, comprising sections of different lengths and difficulty) and the “Way of Saint James” (the section of the famous pilgrimage route that crosses the county).
• Meanwhile, cyclists can explore Selva through the “Routes of the Selva MTB Centre” (circular routes of varying difficulty), the “Selva Bicycle Touring Network” (network of signposted cycle paths where you can design your own itinerary) or the “Way of Saint James” (the Selva stretch of the famous path that leads to Santiago de Compostela).
