Departure: Can Pons Sports complex. The trail is named after one of the region’s most iconic places, Montsoriu Castle. A visit to the castle (not included in the trail) is highly recommended, as it is believed to be Catalonia’s most important Gothic castle, home to the lineage of the Viscounts of Cabrera. Another highlight is the awe-inspiring panoramic view of the region and Montseny from the top of the hill.  Passing through the interior of the Montseny Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve is another high point of the trail.
