Water is to be found in numerous different forms across the district, and has become the main source of economic, natural and cultural wealth. The huge number of mineral water springs, rivers, thermal waters and the spectacular presence of the Costa Brava make water a key element in understanding the landscape and history of La Selva, and give our district its name: La Selva, the Water District.
