Departure: carrilet old station (C/ Pujada de l’Estació, 15).
This route is possibly one of the most attractive as far as views of the countryside are concerned. However, as regards difficulty, it is to be recommended for the most expert users (it includes an ascent from 175m in Amer up to 800m at Sant Martí Sacalm). Panoramic views worth seeing are of the cliffs of el Far and of a large part of the area. Also, there are views of the neighbouring regions, of the reservoirs of Susqueda and el Pasteral and of the River Ter. Moreover, part of the route is shared with that of “el carrilet” (a disused local railway), which runs between Girona and Olot. This disused railway is one of the “green routes” in the Girona region.
